The streets of Rome are narrow and winding, and between tall buildings, it can feel like a labyrinth. It is easy to lose your bearings and get lost. Moments when you can catch a glimpse of a dome or landmark become lighthouses of navigation. These "slivers" are some of my most beloved views of the eternal city. Walls of shadows contrasting against the tower of the church of Santa Maria of Peace as it reaches to the morning light.
