Moses Angel

In the Roman church of San Pietro in Vincoli, there is this small bronze statue. Protective, winged, and peaceful, she is easily overlooked by one of Michelangelo's most famous sculptures, Moses. But she is one of two humble protectors of actual pieces from Saint Peter's chains. A testament to the density of fine art found in almost every church in Rome.
