Casa Rotto
The first time I saw this structure outside of Rome I knew I wanted to paint it, but it wasn't until a year later that I had the opportunity. I wasn't sure if I could find it again and if it would still be standing. Fortunately it was and I had a great time painting it that day. There is so much history in Italy, so much ancient architecture. I wondered "What will become of it as nature and the elements run their course?" I was happy to tell another story about its life and wonder if this was its last.
