Moses Angel

This small bronze statue is in the Roman church of San Pietro in Vincoli. Protective, winged, and peaceful, she is easily overlooked by one of Michelangelo's most famous sculptures, Moses. But she is one of two humble protectors of actual pieces from Saint Peters chains. This is a testament to the density of fine art found in the churches of Rome.
