Saint Andrea Della Valle is the 2nd tallest dome in the Eternal city. Navigating the streets of Rome can be difficult, and I woud use it as a landmark to find my way back to where I was studying; it quickly became the hub and figurative lighthouse as I explored the city on my first visits. It is almost always visible in the skyline and was the quickest way to find out if I was going in the right (or wrong) direction year after year. It has become the first church I look for in the skyline and a familiar friend that reminds me where I am and that I am not lost.
