This tower is located on the west side of Piazza Navona and was created by the Architect Francesco Borromini, one of the only people who could compete with Bernini for architectural work in Rome during the Renaissance, thus creating a massive rivalry. This tower is located on the west side of Piazza Navona. It overlooks the fountain of the four rivers by Bernini. Thinking about these creations existing in this Piazza next to each other for centuries makes it hard to imagine them without each other, and, like their rivalry, hard to imagine what Rome would look like without the competition and progress made by dueling masters.
